I loved that today we moved from large scale to small scale and back again as it was really fun to play with scale and pattern and how this changes from small detailed pattern to just large areas of colour. I though that the weaving processes we did today were really interesting and I got a better understanding of how versatile collage and weaving can be (it doesn’t just have to be the linear criss crossing). It was also fun to creat the large woven painting interpretation as I used a ruler and acrylic which created a really sharp and jagged painting. Playing on top of the silhouettes was interesting because it didn’t really matter what the picture looked like, it was more about the shapes of the weaving and how this created interesting patterns.
